Libingan ng mga Bayani, Manila North Cemetery: Where national artists rest

In this week-long observance of Undas – or anytime of the year when there would be less people – it would be a good idea to visit and pay our respects to our national artists who gave us nation-al pride for their influence on the development of Philippine art and letters.

One of the honors and privileges to a national artist, according to the official gazette, is “a state funeral and burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.”

Situated in Taguig City, the Libingan ng mga Bayani gives a permanent haven for departed Filipinos with significant contributions to the country, including national artists.
