Tropical Storm 'Paeng' washes out PBA games

The PBA Commissioner’s Cup double-header at the Ynares Center in Antipolo has been postponed due to the inclement weather caused brought by Tropical Storm "Paeng", the league announced.

Latest track and intensity forecast of Paeng (PAGASA)

San Miguel Beer was supposed to battle the struggling Meralco in the opening game while Rain or Shine was scheduled to take on Magnolia in the main event before the games were officially called off after Metro Manila and Rizal were put under Storm Warning Signal No. 3 Saturday morning, Oct. 29.

Also in danger of getting postponed as well is Sunday’s schedule between Blackwater and Converge and TNT and Phoenix also at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

According to Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Paeng is expected to make its landfall in the Bicol Peninsula in the afternoon before crossing mainland Luzon, specifically Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) and Metro Manila, Saturday evening.

The PBA said it will make an announcement regarding the rescheduling of the postponed games.
