QCPD arrests lawyer for falsification of public documents


A 60-year-old lawyer was arrested for falsification of documents in the latest operation conducted by members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) identified the suspect as Atty. Constantino Reyes, a resident of Brgy. Lourdes, Quezon City.

According to the police report, Reyes, who has a pending warrant of arrest for falsification of public documents, was arrested at Unit K No. 80 Dapitan St., Sta. Mesa Heights, Brgy. Lourdes, Quezon City at about 6:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, two station-level most wanted persons were also arrested by members of Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) and Project 4 Police Station (PS).

Police said suspects Melchor Lacaña del Rosario, 41, listed as the police station’s No. 4 most wanted person, and Ronneth Tolentino, 24, listed as No. 2 most wanted person, were arrested for violation of R.A. 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 and rape, respectively.

Eight other wanted persons were also arrested by other units and police stations.

Arrested were Jaime Chito Ombrero Tejada, 39, a resident of Pasong Tamo, Quezon City, for Grave Threats and Violation of R.A .10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition; Rinalyn Cuesta, 26, a resident of Brgy. Masambong, Quezon City, for Violation of R.A. 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Program Act of 2000; Robert Gara Sacares, 28, a resident of Brgy. San Roque, Bulacan, for light threats and malicious mischief; Maxine Rodrigo Ticoy, 28, a resident of Brgy. Sangandaan, Quezon City, for slight physical injuries.

Police also apprehended Benjamin Cordero Reyes, 41, a resident of Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City, for frustrated homicide; an unidentified 16-year male, a resident of Brgy. Bagong Silangan, Quezon City, for Violation of Art.266-A as amended by R.A. 8353; Robelito Binibini Degracia, also a resident of Brgy. Bagong Silangan, Quezon City for violation of City/Municipal Ordinance; and Jasmine Magallanes Gadaingan, 27, a resident of Brgy. Payatas B, Quezon City for grave oral defamation.
