The Capiz Iloilo Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (Capiz PDDRMO) reported flooding in the towns of Tapaz, Dumalag, Mambusao, and Sigma.

Badly hit was the town of Tapaz where flood waters submerged the road from Poblacion and all the way to Daan Banwa.

Acting Mayor Romel Somo earlier in the day issued suspension of classes and work to enable residents to evacuate.

Members of the Capiz PDDRMO have been all over to conduct ocular inspection and other necessary responses in flood-prone towns of the province.

In Aklan province, many people were stranded in Numancia town as high tide made the waters from the Aklan River to overflow.

Residents in the capital of Kalibo town are also preparing as the water is rising.

Disaster officials and the local government of Numancia and Kalibo are also monitoring the situation.
