Showbiz stars, public servants, social media influencers, beauty queens and kings, and philanthropists honored by Japan-based WCEJA in Fukuoka on Oct. 30

On Oct. 30, the World Class Excellence Japan Awards (WCEJA) will honor at the Hakata New Otani Hotel about 60 select beauty queens, showbiz stars and entertainers, politician public servants and indefatigable socio- civic workers, tri-media practitioners and social media influencers, as well as philanthropists and unsung heroes of the Philippines and Japan.

The WCEJA is a Japan-based award-giving body founded and managed by iconic Filipina singer-beauty queen-philanthropist Emma Cordero who has been living productively and happily in Japan for more than three decades now. She is more popularly known as Emcor, Asia's Princess of Songs.

"I am always eager to run this annual event, which due to the onslaught of the pandemic I was not able to stage for two years. Honoring world-class achievers has become a major advocacy for me, and I feel incomplete during the two years I was not able to do it," says Emma before revealing this year's awardees.

The Oct. 30 event will be the ninth in Japan. A similar award ceremony is also held in the Philippines yearly. Its eighth year was held at Heritage Hotel on June 15.

Likewise, set to receive awards are the public servants: media man and philanthropist Senator Raffy Tulfo (Lifetime Achievement Award in Public Service), Atty. Irene de Torres Alogoc (Leadership award in Public Service); singer, philanthropist, Voice of an Angel King Universe and public servant Florentino Macawile, chairman of Barangay Santa Margarita, Eastern Samar and Imelda Papin (Outstanding Public Servant-Ambassador for OFW).

There are Filipinos who will fly to Fukuoka, Japan for the awards, as well as philanthropists and honorees from Asia and Europe.

Meanwhile, Emcor reveals that what made it possible to hold this year's award ceremonies is the generous support extended by some of the awardees themselves. "I am very grateful to them. They really manifest evidence of their helpfulness to people from all walks of life," Emcor stresses.

The Japan-based singer/beauty queen/philanthropist further reveals that she is also highly grateful that almost every year she gets nominations and awards for her recognizing the excellence of people and for her numerous civic and philanthropic involvements.
