PNP on full alert, deploys 1,159 police personnel in Pangasinan for ‘Undas’


LINGAYEN -- The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO) is now on full alert status to ensure maximum security and safety of the public during this year’s observance of ‘Undas.’ The Pangasinan PPO said that at least 1,159 police personnel in the province will be deployed to cemeteries, malls, churches, tourists’ spots, and transportation terminals to ensure maximum safety coverage and heightened police visibility.

“Aside from our PPO personnel na magbabantay sa 176 na sementeryo, meron din po tayong mga magigiting na force multipliers totaling to at least 2,891 na binubuo ng mga Barangay Peace Keeping Action Teams, Kabalikat, Deltacom at marami pang iba,” a PPO staff said.

PNP personnel will man all entries of cemeteries and items prohibited announced such as deadly or bladed weapons, loud speakers, liquors, and gambling paraphernalia will not be allowed inside.

Other police officers will render assistance to all motorists along national and provincial highways and all major thoroughfares in the province to guide them going to public and private cemeteries.

Pangasinan PPO will also provide public health safety services to ensure that the minimum public health protocols are followed during the observation of Undas.
