BTS’ Jin flies to Argentina to perform at Coldplay’s concert 


BTS member Jin left South Korea on Oct. 24 to fly to Argentina for his performance at Coldplay’s concert.

Jin was photographed arriving at Incheon International Airport on the morning of Oct. 24 to board his flight en route to Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was reported that Jin will be flying to Argentina via New York City.

He will be releasing his solo single “The Astronaut’ on Oct. 28, which was cowritten by him and Coldpay.

The song was produced by Norwegian music producer Kygo and Bill Rahko, who was the composer and producer of the BTS and Coldplay collaboration song “My Universe” last year.

Big Hit Music announced on Oct. 20 that Jin will be a special guest at Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” world tour that will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 28 (6 a.m. on Oct. 29 in the Philippines) at the Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires.

“This concert will not be live-streamed online. However, we will upload the performance video of ‘The Astronaut’ after the concert to make sure ARMY all around the world can watch Jin and Coldplay’s performance,” said the agency.

The video will be uploaded at 3 p.m. KST on Oct. 29 on the Bangtan TV channel on YouTube.

“The Coldplay concert will be live-streamed and delayed-streamed in theaters not only in South Korea, but all around the world. The event will be a paid in-person event. Listed as songwriters for “The Astronaut” are Coldplay’s Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion, and Chris Martin, Jin, Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll (Kygo), Joan La Barbara and Jóhann Jóhannsson.
