Street party marks 2nd day of Binangonan town fiesta

Striking colorful laser lights, boom blasting sounds and cheering crowds filled the intersection leading to the municipal hall in Binangonan, Rizal as the town marked the second day of the fun-filled fiesta celebration on Saturday night Oct. 22.

The office of Mayor Cesar Ynares said the second day of the celebration of the town fiesta was highlighted by entertainment shows from local performing artists and other guest musicians.

Municipal administrator Russel Ynares told Manila Bulletin that the town government is grateful to the private sector which continues supporting the local government’s activities that promote arts and culture of the town through music and visual presentations.

The crowd gathered in front of the stage as musical performances by bands such as Join The Club featuring Jana Garcia started.

Other bands such as Android-18, Soapdish, New Direction, Ken Liwanag; and local talents who have become popular on social media through video blogging such as the cast of Roomies Sitcom, Team Horror, Milo and Friends, and Romelyn Gascon also delighted the crowd of mostly teens and young professionals.

Administrator Ynares said Day 2 of the town fiesta celebration, presented by the local government and All Binangonan Artists Association (ABAA), became possible through the support of Skin Magical, which has a booth near the concert venue; and other donors such as Speaks G, Cloudface International, KASSI & KYDN, Tea Talk, and Coffee Periodt.

The street party happened on that part of Manila East Road where the participants enjoyed the food and drinks served by various booths that joined the event.

The motor and car show featured motorbikes adorned with colorful LED lights and cars and vans with audio accessories.

Some local bands competed in the battle of the bands alongside the street party.

Day 1 of the town fiesta, which was celebrated in honor of the town’s patroness, Saint Ursula, was marked with Holy Mass and fluvial parade in Laguna Lake.

The municipal government previously helped several bands by providing a venue for their musical performances.
