Kapuso stars recognized at the 13th PMPC Star Awards for Music

GMA Network is truly the home of highly-acclaimed artists after several of its talents won awards in different categories at the 13th PMPC Star Awards for Music held last Wednesday (Oct. 12) at the Newport Theater in Pasay City.

Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista was hailed as Male Recording Artist of the Year for his single “Bukas Wala Nang Ulan.” He was also recognized for his 20-year success in the industry with a special award of Exemplary Milestone.

Christian is one of the mainstays of GMA’s hit musical variety show All-Out Sundays and is one of the judges of The Clash.

Meanwhile, The Clash Season 2 Grand Champion Jeremiah Tiangco bagged his first-ever award as New Male Recording Artist of the Year for his single “Titulo,” under GMA Music.

Every week, Jeremiah also treats viewers and fans with his exceptional performances in All-Out Sundays.

Kyryll, who is one of the pioneers of The Clash, took home the People’s Choice Female R&B Artist of the Year award for her song “Gunita” under AltG Records, a sub-label of GMA Music.

Kapuso OST Princess Hannah Precillas, in turn, was named as People’s Choice New Female Recording Artist of the Year for her rendition of GMA Music’s masterpiece entitled “Sabi Ko Na Nga Ba.”

Hannah is part of All-Out Sundays’ high-rating segment “Queendom.”

Jeremiah Tiangco

Completing the list of winners is Sparkle heartthrob Kokoy de Santos who won as People’s Choice New Male Recording Artist of the Year for his song “Lagi Lagi.”

Aside from his enchanting voice, Kokoy also showcases his wit and sense of humor in the country’s longest-running gag show, Bubble Gang, and in the top-rating reality game show Running Man Philippines.
