Mel de Guia, the partner of singer Sheryn Regis, has come out to call the attention of fans seemingly eager to pit Sheryn against Morissette.
It all started with a video of the two belting out "Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw" during a recent concert going viral.
A certain online user noted how Morissette should be credited for the track getting a second wind.
Unfortunately, the fan also mentioned how Sheryn should actually thank Morisette for helping her earn a bit of money despite her career supposedly being in the doldrums.
Well, the comment didn't sit well with Mel, who quickly replied.
"Seems like you don't know what really happened. 1st, what money are you talking about? Mukhang di mo talaga alam ang industry nila," she wrote.
"2nd, nirelease ni Sheryn yang kanta nya OCT 2021 then 2 months lang they decided na gawing Themesong ng TBMV at ipakanta kay Morisette. Hindi pa napropromote masyado yung single dahil may SCHEDULE na tinatawag to promote. Hindi nabigyan ng pagkakataon si Sheryn in short. Why? Dahil ipapalabas na ang TBMV at syempre ayon ang themesong na araw araw mo maririnig kaya tatatak sa isip mo," Mel continued.
"3rd, Comeback sana ni Sheryn yan. Pero ano ginawa ni Sheryn? Nirespeto nya desisyon ng StarMusic na ipakanta kay Morisette yung comeback song sana nya. Kung talagang may alam ka sana alam mo na sailing kwento ni Sheryn yang GKNB kaya nabuo yan. Trinaslate yung journal nya from English to Tagalog at dinagdagan ni Sir. Jonathan at binigyan ng kulay pa," she reiterated.
"Kaya sino ka para magmagaling at sabihan si Sheryn ng ganyan?? Walang masama mag-idolo sa hinahangaan mo, wag mo lang pagsalitaan ng hindi tama ang kapwa mo dahil lang gusto mo maangat yang pinaglalaban mo. STOP COMPARING! Ay wait asa pilipinas nga pala tayo kung saan feeling entitled lahat. Kung kaharap ko lang ulit si Morissette ngayon sasabihin ko ang TOTOXIC NG FANS nya. Kavo ang sumisira sa iniidolo nyo. Sana masarap ulam no bukas."
The screenshot of the said messages was shared by Mel on Twitter.
She wrote: "Opo! Marunong po ako pumatol sa mga utak ipis na to! Inaano ba kayo ni Sheryn? Mori mga fans mo, nalimutan ata itake ang GMRC."
She added: "Btw, sobrang goods samin ni Inday Mori, specially kapwa bisaya. To all the fans ni Sheryn and Mori, please be kind. They both deserve the love, support and respect. Ok naman sila at pareho magaling, bat pinagsasabong nyo?"
