The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has set up what it calls a "One-Stop-Shop" for cargoes of diplomats and foreign dignitaries.
In a statement, the BOC said the establishment of the One-Stop-Shop was an offshoot of the meeting among top officials of the BOC, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of the United States of the America.
During the meeting, acting BOC Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz committed to further streamlining customs processes and procedures.
The BOC said the One-Stop-Shop will expedite the processing and release of cargoes consigned to diplomats and foreign dignitaries.
It said it will be done through the assistance of the BOC's Assessment and Operations Coordinating Group (AOCG).
"It will be headed by the AOCG and composed of the Chief of the Informal Entry Divisions of the collection districts," the statement read.
