‘Neneng’ closes roads in Cagayan


The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said Sunday, Oct. 16, that some roads in Claveria and Allacapan, Cagayan are impassable due to flood caused by severe tropical storm “Neneng.”

The Bangag-Magapit Road at KO693+600-K0693+870 in Daan-Ili, Allacapan is impassable to light vehicles due to high water level.

DPWH said maintenance personnel were deployed to manage the traffic and warning signs were installed to inform the travelling public.

The Claveria Bridge detour on the Manila North Road at K0611+680 is closed to traffic due to high water elevation from the ongoing construction of the Claveria Bridge.

Motorists were advised to take the Claveria Bypass Road.

Also shut down was the Claveria- Dibalio-Luzon-Cagayan Boundary Road in K0613+(-690)-K0613+(-490) in Dibalio, Claveria due to high water elevation.

Like in Claveria, maintenance personnel were deployed to man the traffic and warning signs were installed to inform the travelling public.

The two lanes of the Manila North Road, K0613+650-K0613+665, in Dibalio is open to traffic.

All other national roads and bridges in Cagayan are passable to all types of vehicles as of posting time.
