“Bittersweet” was released four months after Wonho’s third mini-album “Facade.”

In an interview with Audacy Check In, Wonho said he decided to name the album “Bittersweet” as “I wanted to express a mix of emotions that are bitter yet sweet.”

“I believe our lives are filled with different emotions and they shape who we are,” he added.

In “Don’t Regret,” Wonho expresses two contrasting moods and his message that one should not be regretful of past memories and to realize that they have left beautiful traces to create a moment at present.

The song’s lyrics express the doubt, misunderstanding and waiting involved when loving someone.

“On & On” features Yunhway, creating a unique blend of voices from the two singers.

Wonho said it was his idea to get Yunhway for the song.

“I’ve always liked Yunhway’s voice. And this song seemed like the perfect fit for her, so that’s how the collaboration came about. The process was very quick. She sent over her part the day after I sent her the music and it was just perfect,” he explained.

Wonho said as of now, he does not have a plan to collaborate with a specific artist.

“I don’t have a plan now but I’m open to anyone WENEE recommends,” he said.
