NAGUILIAN, Isabela – The Department of Public Works and Highways-Region 2 is fast-tracking the construction of the Naguilian Parallel Bridge here.
Regional Director Nomer Abel P. Canlas said that the construction of Naguilian Bridge will significantly reduce travel time and ease traffic on the existing bridge on the national highway.
The DPWH said the parallel bridge involves the construction of an 887.80-meter bridge and 512.10-linear meter concreting with shoulder improvement, slope protection works, earthworks, drainage structure, and other miscellaneous structures.
The project which is 51 percent complete has allocation of P965,368,194.83 funded under the General Appropriations Act FY 2020-2024.
The bridge will benefit 5,000 daily travelers and expected to be completed in 2024.
