Residents in Cagayan evacuated due to 'Maymay'

LAL-LO, Cagayan – The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) conducted pre-emptive evacuation on Wednesday, Oct. 12, of some residents in Barangay Lalafugan here due to flooding from tropical depression Maymay’s rains.

Engr. Leopoldo Colosaga Jr. of the MDRRMO reported to the Cagayan Provincial Information Office that four families composed of eight individuals, including three infants and one person with disability (PWD), were evacuated.

Colosaga said that their monitoring will continue to protect lives of residents.

Mayor Florante Pascual cancelled classes on all levels in public and private schools and government offices on Wednesday.
