New boutique developer Mosaic Realty presents maiden project

19-story The Silhouette brings exclusive luxury lifestyle in San Juan City

New real estate company Mosaic Realty & Development Corporation (MRDC) officially launched its maiden project, The Silhouette, last Sept. 29, 2022. The event was hosted by MRDC’s owners and co-founders, CEO Jardin Wong, COO Jillian Sze, and Director Miguel Tan.

The event marked MRDC's official debut in the real estate industry, as it unveiled its one-unit one-floor concept. Each has 270-plus square meters of exclusive living space, panoramic views, and ornate interiors and accents.

Guests were given a presentation of the 19-story boutique development that is set to become a landmark along Luna Mencias Street in San Juan City. Breaking ground today with construction coming soon, this modern and stylish property is located in the heart of a progressive residential enclave that is conveniently integrated with a variety of amenities and establishments that are essential to families and individuals alike.

The open sala and kitchen will be fully equipped with Gorenje and Maximus European-grade kitchen appliances.

The Silhouette's bespoke features include European porcelain tile flooring on open areas, flat paint on ceilings, and semi-gloss paint on walls. Bedrooms have a more natural feel with engineered wooden planks as the floor surface, and toilet counters have marbled tile finish, and a copper-free mirror under warm white cove lighting. The walk-in closet is painted light taupe finished. The open sala and kitchen will be fully equipped with Gorenje and Maximus European-grade kitchen appliances that are included in the package.

Design influences

Patterned after the company's tagline and vision of "Creating Masterpieces, Building Ambitions," The Silhouette lives up to its name with its captivating curves designed by architectural firm WTA Architecture and Design. The owners collaborated closely with Arch. William Ti to bring their vision to life.

"We give him credit for being able to mimic the naturally hilly topography of San Juan into the shape of the building," Sze said.

The co-founders also contributed ideas, each drawing inspiration from their travels and experiences abroad. "Our main inspiration for the design of The Silhouette is Zaha Hadid's 520 West 28 at New York's prestigious High Line," explained Wong, an art aficionado and fan of cities and mega urban metropolises. “Hadid's 520 W gem has clean lines and bold contours, with an emphasis on simplicity and understated luxury, similar to MRDC's debut project."

Sze, whose previous corporate positions required her to live and work abroad, drew inspiration from her exposure to Chinese and Swiss lifestyle, culture, and design. "Buildings in Switzerland are designed to be low-rise in order to protect the alpine scenery. I used to live in a small apartment complex where I had the entire floor to myself. While in China, I was able to visit a number of high-end residential and commercial developments. Many of the design decisions for The Silhouette were made to reflect the exclusive lifestyle of this generation of buyers who are internet savvy and simply want to have a balanced life."

Tan, at 26 years old, is also an art enthusiast, as evident in his work in the glass façade industry and his conclave of art collections. He is inspired by projects that "push the boundaries of design and physics." When he was invited to join the partnership to build on MRDC’s vision, he said he felt immediately confident.

"I knew the group was in good hands, with a strong vision aligned in achieving a common goal of elevating luxury living experiences," Tan said.

The pandemic also re-defined the non-negotiables and necessities of modern living, as well as what it takes to create a conducive environment at home to cultivate mental, physical, and emotional health.

Whether living alone or with companions, natural light, good air circulation, and enough space to unwind, recharge, and work is a must. MRDC's The Silhouette provides an experience akin to the comforts of hotel-living through its world-class amenities that include a refreshing indoor pool, a fully equipped gym, a spacious Sky Deck, and more, partnered with the hospitality from experienced teams that will service the property.

Trust and partnership

MRDC’s principles of elevating lifestyles, pushing boundaries, and creating timeless masterpieces resonated with international upscale brands, resulting in a partnership and collaboration for the launch of The Silhouette.

The grand launch, with the support of partner brands, was designed to reflect the life and style one can expect in The Silhouette. Set in the grand Forbes Ballroom of the Conrad Manila, guests were treated to an exclusive tour of The Silhouette in large-scale videos and photos, along with a stylish display by Vespa Philippines.

Future homeowners will enjoy the luxury of their space, which will be furnished with top-of-the-line Gorenje appliances. Gorenje is an upscale European appliance manufacturer with over 60 years of market authority in developing superior technology and design for home and living.

It is astonishing how these heritage and classic lifestyle brands trusted and partnered with a new and young company like Mosaic Realty & Development Corporation, which represented as a marriage of their values and MRDC’s core tenets—grit, craftsmanship, ambition, and innovation.

Gaining ground

As a young and innovative company led by three visionaries all under the age of 40, MRDC focuses on making its mark in the industry with boutique properties that stand out and cater to today's discerning market's exclusive lifestyle.

"We want our brand to stand the test of time, which is why we came up with the tagline ‘Creating Masterpieces, Building Ambitions.’ We intend to grow in the boutique category in the coming years because it allows us to innovate faster on how we see things and reflect that in our project. For us, it’s all about quality,” Sze concluded.
