Legendary actress Angela Lansbury dies at 96


Her works include 'Murder, She Wrote' and 'Beauty and the Beast'

Irish-British-American actress Angela Lansbury is known for a lot of things with "Murder, She Wrote" as one of the most memorable of her works. The series ran from 1984 until 1996. For the younger generation, she lends her voice as Mrs. Teapot in "Beauty and the Beast."

“The children of Dame Angela Lansbury are sad to announce that their mother died peacefully in her sleep at home in Los Angeles at 1:30 AM today, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, just five days shy of her 97th birthday," the family released a statement.

She passed away, just five days shy from her birthday. She would have turned 97 years old. May she rest in peace.
