AWOL cop tied to gun-for-hire gang falls in Pangasinan


LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – An Absence Without Official Leave (AWOL) policeman tagged as a member of a gang involved in gun-for-hire, robbery, and illegal drug activities was arrested in Barangay Nagsaing, Calasiao, this province, before dawn on Wednesday, Oct. 12.

A report from Col. Jeff Fanged, officer-in-charge, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, to the Police Regional Office 1 identified the suspect as Rodolfo Peralta Resuello Jr,. alias “Dopong,” resident of San Carlos City, Pangasinan.

Resuello was arrested on a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 issued by Judge Rusty Naya, acting Presiding Judge, 1st Judicial Region, Branch 56, Regional Trial Court, San Carlos City, Pangasinan dated July 18, 2018.

The court recommended no bail for his temporary freedom.

Resuello was a high-value individual and on the list of the Department of Interior and Local Government’s most wanted persons with a reward of P145,000 for his arrest.

The suspect was a member of the Dawis Criminal Group which became the Darema Group in 2016.

Suspect is under the custody of Calasiao police for proper disposition and documentation.
