Aliño is acting director of Iloilo Provincial Police Office


ILOILO CITY – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) has a new director in an acting capacity.

He is Colonel Noel Calderon Aliño.

Aliño formally took over from Colonel Adrian Villalobos Accollador as the acting director of the IPPO in a turnover ceremony presided by Brigadier General Leo Francisco, director of Police Regional Office (PRO-6).

“I will not make any promises, but I will do my very best for Iloilo province even though I am not from here,” said Aliño in his acceptance speech on Wednesday, Oct. 12.

As OIC of IPPO, Aliño is going to oversee the police in the province’s 42 towns and component city of Passi.

“We will work as a team and we will work together with the local government units (LGUs),” assured Aliño, who previously served as the chief of PRO-6’s Regional Intelligence Division.

Francisco disclosed it was him who took Aliño to Western Visayas from Manila Police District as he had confidence in Aliño’s capacity.

“His record and work ethics will help him in his service to Iloilo PPO,” stressed Francisco.

The region’s top cop gave Aliño the marching orders to solve the series of high-profiled crimes.

While Francisco did not mention, but one of the high-profile cases in the province was the murder of three young businessmen.
