Get set to journey into the Paldea region in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

The newest generation of Pokemon, Scarlet and Violet, are launching on November 18. And Nintendo keeps putting out teasers by revealing new game mechanics, new regional forms, and new evolutions. One of those is Farigiraf, the evolved form of Girafarig, which is exclusive in the Paldea region. This is the first evolved form of the Girafarig since it was introduced in Pokemons Gold and Silver in 1997.

According to a press release from Nintendo, one of Farigiraf's Ability is Cud Chew, which allows a Pokemon to eat a berry twice, the second time being at the end of the next turn. The second Ability is Armored Tail, which prevents opposing Pokemon use priority moves.

Other game mechanics revealed are picnics -- and yes, it's mostly for restoring your team's health and adding other stat boosts. You may also find a Pokemon Egg along the way. One of the newer things Game Freak, the Pokemon Company, and Nintendo introduced is, Pokemon gets some dirt and grime as they walk with you. And you will be able to clean them during picnics.

To have picnics online with friends, Nintendo reminds everyone they would need internet and have the latest version of the game installed. Also, the paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is also required to play online. In the country you can pay that through Maya or GCash.

Another new feature is the TM Machines located in Pokemon Centers. This allows trainers to craft their own TMs. And yes, this means a big grind in some cases, as you scour Paldea to gather drops to craft your desired TM. I feel like due to this, TMs are no longer unlimited like they were on Sword and Shield. This is possibly Nintendo's way to adding a bit of challenge in building trainers' meta-team.
