As part of the city’s “Land for the Landless" program, qualified Manileños will be awarded land that will be donated by the city government that they will gradually pay for over 30 years.

The recipients of the land were from Districts 2, 3, and 4.

The said lands are located in Dimayuga Estate, Janda Estate, Alfonso Tuazon Estate, Rita Legarda Estate, and Jose Fajardo Estate.

Lacuna, meanwhile, reminded the families who were awarded land to not forget the responsibility of payment so that it can be used to help other qualified Manileños who have no land.

"Sikapin po natin na maibalik natin sa pamahalaang lungsod ang pagsisikap namin para sainyo (Let's try to return our efforts for you to the city government),” the mayor said.

Lacuna was also joined by Vice Mayor John Marvin "Yul Servo" Nieto, and Manila Urban Settlements Office (MUSO) Officer-in-Charge Atty. Cris Tenorio, Secretary of the Chief City, Atty. Marlon Lacson, councilors from District 2, Councilor Rodolfo "Ninong" Lacsamana and Councilor Darwin "Awi" Sia, councilors from District 3, Councilor Johanna Maureen "Apple" Nieto-Rodriguez, Councilor Terrence Alibarbar, Councilor Pamela "Fa" Fugoso, and councilors from District IV Councilor Louisito "Doc Louie" Chua.
