Several areas in Pasay City to experience power outage on Oct. 9


The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) will implement power interruption in several areas in Pasay City on Sunday, Oct. 9

According to the advisory of Meralco, it will temporarily cut electricity in several areas in Pasay City from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. due to replacement of rotten poles, line reconductoring works and installation of additional lightning protection devices along F.B. Harrison Street, Taft Avenue and Antonio Arnaiz Street.

In its Facebook page, the city government of Pasay said the areas to be affected by the power outage are the portion of circuits Metpark 410 MET, portion of circuit Malate 18J, and portion of Antonio Arnaiz St. from F.B. Harrison St. near Taft Ave. and Park Ave.

Residents were advised to make necessary preparations, particularly those living in the following areas: portion of F.B. Harrison St. from Aliw Inn Motel to Daughters of Sat. Paul, Derham St., and Pasadena St.

Other establishments to be affected are Pasay City Hall, Pasay Sports Complex, US Embassy Seafront Compound, City University of Pasay City, Pasay City West High School, PLDT Sales and Service Center, Philippine School for the Deaf, Miss Universe Disco, and Harrison Mansion.

Other areas that will experience power interruption are portions of Park Ave. from Antonio S. Arnaiz Ave. to D. Galvez St.; A. Cuenca, Primera de Mayo, Pestaña, O'farrell, Kaligtasan, Com Garcia P. Villanueva, Torres and Remy Sts.; BDO Leveriza-Libertad Branch, Jollibee Liberty Plaza, Jose Rizal Elementary School, Smart Communications Building, Torres Building, XQS Brothers Construction Inc., and Artrender Industries Inc.

The Meralco said power outages will also be experienced in the following areas: portions of D. Galvez St. from F.B. Harrison St. to P. Villanueva St. including Figueroa, Grace and Ibarra Sts. and P.Villanueva Elementary School; portion of Taft Ave. from Raymundo St. including LRT Libertad Station, Pasay Market Talipapa, and Cuneta Astrodome on Roxas Boulevard.
