ZAMBOANGA CITY -- The Department of Trade and Industry regional office (Region 9) opened the annual Zamboanga Peninsula Exposition – a trade fair showcasing products from Zamboanga Peninsula entrepreneurs -- at a local mall here on Thursday, Oct. 6.
The exposition is held annually, and this year’s theme is ‘Rediscover, Rise, and Reap.’
The exhibit is held in October of every year and is one of the activities of the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival.
More than 100 exhibitors from all over Zamboanga Peninsula gathered at the exhibit area to showcase food, furniture, accessories and other products.
The exhibit serves as a platform to promote products and services of entrepreneurs in the region to potential buyers.
In his message, Zamboanga mayor John Dalipe said the exhibit will help increase sales and create and reinforce the visibility of products of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs in the region.
DTI director Al-Zamir Lipae thanked the participants of the exhibit which will run until October 9.
ZAMPEX was launched in Zamboanga City in 2014. Since then, the event is held annually.
