LTFRB starts accepting PUV special permit application for Undas

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has started accepting application for special permits of public utility vehicles to travel extra routes during the All Saints and All Soul's Days, locally referred to as "Undas".

In a statement, the LTFRB said the special permit that will be given is in anticipation of the influx of passengers that will go to their respective provinces to pay their respects to their deceased loves ones.

Operators were advised to complete the requirements that include the official receipt/certificate of registration (OR/CR) of the PUVs, personal passenger insurance policy and franchise verification.

Once all the fees and documentary requirements are submitted, the LTFRB said the special permits will be released on or before Oct. 28 through the Information Systems Management Division (ISMD).

"PUV operators are encouraged to apply early so that they will be able to get the special permits early for the All Souls and All Saint's Days," the statement read.

The LTFRB also warned PUV operators and drivers to follow the rules and policies of the agency, saying violators will face fines and penalties that include cancellation of the special permit and Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC).
