Binangonan local execs donate cash, laptops to teachers on World Teachers’ Day


To thank teachers for their contribution to children's education and to society, the Municipal Government of Binangonan marked World Teachers' Day by donating cash and two laptops to the town’s educators.

An online gathering of the World Teachers Day in Binangonan was held in the town on Oct. 5 with the Department of Education-Binangonan Sub-Office district supervisors spearheading the program as part of their tribute to the town’s educators.

During the virtual gathering of the Binangonan educators, the raffle of prizes was the highlight of the activity that was joined online by all the 36 elementary and nine secondary schools in the municipality.

It was learned from the office of Binangonan Mayor Cesar Ynares that the local chief executive had donated some cash from his personal money purposely for the teachers' day celebration.

Binangonan Sub-Office District Supervisors, Dr. Pitsberg De Rosas, Dr. Genaro Cequeńa, Mrs. Melissa Garrovillas, and Dr. April Rabago, thanked the local government headed by Mayor Ynares for their all-out support to the Binangonan Sub-Office officials and teachers.

In his recorded message to the teachers, Mayor Ynares, thanked the teachers for their dedication in their profession and contribution in molding the students in their journey to success.

“I wish you good health and continuing success in and outside the schools,” Mayor Ynares added.

Municipal Administrator Russel Ynares told Manila Bulletin that part of the major prizes during the virtual activity of the teachers were two laptops which he personally donated and handed over to the winners, Ms. Angelita Zarain of Binangonan Elementary School and Ms. Geline Fermin of Tatala Elementary School .

Minor prizes included food packs and home appliances which can be claimed by the winners at the Binangonan Sub-Office.
