PDEA-Central Luzon nets P841,000 ecstasy in Paranaque


CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Luzon seized 495 tablets of party drug ecstasy valued at P841,500 from a call center agent in a controlled delivery operation on Tuesday, Oct. 4, in Barangay Don Bosco, Paranaque City.

The PDEA identified the consignee as Siwa Jan Vino, male, 29, and a resident of Paranaque.

The PDEA-International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs Service (PDEA-ICFAS) received information from foreign counterparts that a package containing illegal substances from the Netherlands will arrive at the Port of Clark.

The information was transmitted to PDEA-Region 3 for an interdiction operation.

PDEA said the package arrived at the Port of Clark last Friday, Sept. 30.

An operation was conducted in coordination with PDEA-National Capital Region, Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark, and the Parañaque City Police Station.

The suspect was arrested after he received the package. Recovered from the suspect were a package containing three plastic bottles and containers, five silver pouches containing 495 tablets of ecstasy with estimated value of P841,500, and a TIN ID.

The suspect will be charged for violation of Section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Vino’s case is non-bailable and investigation is ongoing.
