BACOLOD CITY -- A man tagged as number 8 drug personality in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tapi on Monday, Oct. 3, the Kabankalan police reported.
The target in the operation who was arrested was identified as Reniel Cabison, 45, of Barangay Tapi.
The raiders found in his possession 11 grams of shabu worth P74,800.
Lt. Col. Alvimar Flores, Kabankalan police chief, said that Cabison was arrested for a drug offense in Ilog town in 2016, and was later released through plea bargaining.
Police also found from the Cabison a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver loaded with three ammunition, two ammunition for .357 caliber, the P500 marked money, drug paraphernalia, P200, and a digital weighing scale.
Flores said that Cabison alleged that the recovered firearm was for his protection.
Drug charges and a case for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition are being readied against him.
