In a report from DZMM, around 50 healthcare workers held placards as they urged the agency to release their long delayed benefits, including the special risk allowance (SRA) and One Covid-19 Allowance (OCA).

Aside from their unpaid benefits, the healthcare workers also appealed for an increase in their salaries.

The report added that at least 10 healthcare workers have also entered the compound to protest.

Under Republic Act No. 11494 or the “Bayanihan to Recover As One Act,” the SRA is given to “all public and private health workers directly catering or in contact with Covid-19 patients.”

Healthcare workers who are classified as having low-risk Covid-19 exposure will receive P3,000; medium risk, P6,000; and P9,000 for those who have a high risk exposure.
