Angono's chief vet gives anti-rabies shots to pets on World Animal Day


The town of Angono celebrated the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi and World Animal Day by providing free vaccination against rabies to pets on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

Angono Municipal Government’s head veterinarian and agriculturist Dr. Joel Tuplano gave anti-rabies shots to pets who were brought by their fur parents to the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Saint Clement for the pet blessing on Tuesday morning.

Prior to the vaccination of cats and dogs at the patio of the church, Rev. Fr. Giovanni Yago blessed the canines and felines as part of the celebration of the feast day of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals and ecology.

The office of Angono Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon announced that the vaccination of pets against rabies is a regular program of the local government that is being conducted at the Municipal Veterinary Office located at Bloomingdale Covered Court from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
