DSWD reports P891-M worth of stockpiles, standby funds

As the government intensified its disaster relief operations in areas affected by typhoon Odette, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has reported that it has available stockpiles and standby funds amounting to more than P891 million.

Based on the DSWD’s Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) report, as of 6 p.m., Jan. 8, the agency’s “available relief resources" amounted to P891.13 million. Of this, more than P107.92 million has been earmarked as standby funds or quick response fund (QRF). These include P37.18 million worth of QRF available at the DSWD Central Office and P70.75 million at the Field Offices.

The DSWD has available stockpiles worth P783.21 million —P363.99 million worth of non-food items (NFIs) and P233.25 million worth of other food items.

A total of 299,334 family food packs (FFPs) worth P185.97 million are available for distribution to the local government units (LGUs) that are in need of resources augmentation support.
