Four bettors win P42.9-M Lotto 6/42 jackpot prize

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Friday, Jan. 7, announced that four bettors coming from various parts of the country bagged the P42.9-million jackpot prize for Lotto 6/42.

In a Facebook post, PCSO confirmed that four winning tickets: one (1) bought in Guaga, Pampanga; one (1) in Maragondon, Cavite; and two (2) in Makati City won the Lotto 6/42 jackpot during the draw on Jan. 6.

The bettors correctly guessed the winning combination 23 - 01 - 09 - 24- 12-07 with the total jackpot prize of P42,945,708.20.

The winners need to go to PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City to claim their prizes. They must present the winning tickets and two valid identification cards (IDs).

Pursuant to the TRAIN Law, PCSO said prizes above P10,000 would be subjected to 20 percent tax.

All prizes that were not claimed within one year from the date of the draw will also be considered forfeited as mandated by Republic Act No. 1169, PCSO said.

Aside from the four major winners, 120 bettors who guessed five out of the six-digit winning combination also won P24,000 each for the second prize.

Meanwhile, PCSO said that that was no winner for the Superlotto 6/49 with a jackpot prize of P121,338,871.60. The winning combination was 26 - 16 - 22 - 08 - 06 - 27.
