“Nahuli ang suspect, ngunit sa kasamaang palad, si Marlon ay nasugatan. Kasalukuyan siyang nagpapagaling sa kaniyang tahanan kapiling ang pamilya (The suspect was arrested but unfortunately, Marlon was wounded. He is currently recovering at home with his family),” the mayor posted on Facebook.

She added, “Posting this to show my appreciation to all good PNP operatives serving our City. Patuloy nating ipagdasal at asahan ang dedikasyon at katapatan ng ating Taguig PNP (Let us continue praying and expect the dedication and honesty of our Taguig PNP).”

Dogaojo was stabbed during an anti-illegal drugs operation by the Taguig police on Sept. 23 on Paso Street in Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig.

The Taguig police identified the suspect as Luisito Almario, 43, who was arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

During validation and surveillance of the alleged proliferation of illegal drugs in the area, Almario sensed that he was dealing with a police officer.

He grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Dogaojo in the left abdomen. Dogaojo defended himself and fired at the suspect, wounding him.

The two were taken to the Taguig Pateros District Hospital for treatment.
