ZAMBOANGA CITY – A suspected drug pusher escaped police custody after his arrest before dawn here Tuesday, Sept. 27.
Emmanuel Garcia David, 26, alias “Dexter,” was arrested at 1:25 a.m. by the Zamboanga City Police Station 7 during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cabatangan.
He was taken into custody and brought to the Police Station 7 headquarters for booking.
While the suspect was being prepared for medical examination per protocol for newly arrested individuals, David fled and escaped.
Police chased but failed to capture the suspect.
Lawmen are still conducting manhunt operations for the suspect's arrest.
