Bureau of Immigration (BI) agents have arrested a 64-year-old British for his alleged involvement running a child pornography website.

BI Commissioner Norman G. Tansingco said John Crotty was arrested while distributing obscene photos of underage Filipino girls on his website and social media accounts during a raid in Tangub City.

Based on the background check by the BI, Crotty Twas jailed moved to Mindanao after completing his nine-year jail terms in the United Kingdom.

The BI's fugitive search unit and Intelligence division arrested the undesirable foreign national, in coordination with Tangub City police.

"The arrest followed after the British authorities informed us that Crotty is a subject of an Interpol green notice," BI Intelligence chief Fortunato Manahan, Jr.

Crotty arrived in the country last Feb. 6. He did renew his visa to stay.

Tansingco vowed to prioritize the arrest and deportation of sex offenders preying on innocent victims online.
