Pets to get free animal care services at QMC on Sept. 30

The Quezon City Veterinary Department (QCVD) will conduct free animal care services for cats and dogs at the Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC) on Friday, Sept. 30.

The activity is part of the city’s celebration of World Rabies Day held every Sept. 28 to raise awareness and prevent the spread of the disease.

The QCVD said that pet owners who are residents of the city can reserve a slot for their pets to get the services such as anti-rabies vaccination, microchipping, and deworming by pre-registering through the online forms posted on its Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/110100100943844/posts/514823610471489/.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.

Owners must present a valid identification card that will serve as proof that they are residents of the city.

Residents were reminded by the city government to be responsible owners and update their pets’ vaccination regularly.

The QCVD said that residents can call their hotline number which is also posted on its Facebook page for questions and concerns.
