1,500 new Covid-19 cases recorded—DOH

The country recorded 1,500 new Covid-19 cases, the Department of Health (DOH) reported on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Data from the DOH showed most cases in the past 14 days were logged in Metro Manila with 13,984 infections.

It was followed by Calabarzon with 5,270 cases, Central Luzon with 2,820, Davao region with 1,332, and Western Visayas with 802.

Active cases nationwide or patients still battling with Covid-19 stood at 27,553.

Over 3.9 million Covid-19 cases have been confirmed with 62,882 deaths, since the pandemic hit the Philippines in 2020.

More than 73 million Filipinos have completed their two-dose primary vaccination series. So far, only 19.2 million people have received their first booster shots.
