BAGUIO CITY – An alleged drug trader listed in regional top 10 illegal drug personalities and his cousin were arrested during a buy-bust operation at San Carlos Heights, Irisan, Baguio City on Monday night, Sept. 26.
Col. Glenn Lonogan, director of the Baguio City Police Office, identified the arrested as Michael Kevin Laranang Ayeras, 31, and his cousin Tim Aliman Laranang, 24. Both are residing at Copper Street, Quezon Hill, Baguio City.
Lonogan said Michael Kevin is listed as a regional top 10 illegal drug personality, while Tim is considered a street level individual.
Joint operatives conducted a buy-bust operation in the presence of Prosecutor Don Emmanuel Vergara, Barangay Captain Arthur D. Carlos of Purok 26, Irisan, Baguio City and media representatives.
Lonogan said the suspects sold two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing one gram of shabu for P6,800 to a policeman who acted as a buyer during the transaction.
Another three heat-sealed plastic sachets containing one gram of shabu worth P6,800 were also recovered from the suspects’ possession.
