No water in 8 NCR cities, 4 areas in Cavite


The Maynilad Water Services Inc. reported that eight cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) and portions of Cavite province experienced water interruption due to raw water quality issue in Ipo Dam on Monday, Sept. 26.

The eight affected cities in the NCR were:

Caloocan (barangays 81, 83, 84, 85, 95, 99, 101, 105, 133, 136 to 142, 144 to 147, 150, 151, 156 to 159, 161 to 164 and Balingasa)

Las Piñas (Almanza Uno, CAA, Manuyo Dos, Pamplona Uno to Pamplona Tres, Pulanglupa Uno, Pulanglupa Dos, Talon Uno to Talon Singko, and Zapote)

Makati (Bangkal, Magallanes, Pio del Pilar, and San Isidro)

Malabon (80, Concepcion, Dimapilit, Ibaba, Maysilo, Pangulo, Portero, San Agustin, Santolan, and Tanong)

Manila (95, 100, 103, 104, 105, 107, 108, 587 to 591, 598 to 601, 649, 662, 673, 675, 676, 686 to 695, 724, 725, 731 to 734, 739, 744 to 754, 769, 803, 807, 826 to 836, 842, 845, 846, 850, 851, 855 to 859, 867, 868, 870, 871, 872, 587 A, Santol, and Santo Nino)

Samson, Apolonio Samson, Baesa, Bahay Toro, Balingasa, Balong Bato, Bungad, Damar, Damayan, Del Monte, Don Manuel Quezon, Dona Aurora Quezon, Dona Imelda Marcos, Katipunan, maharlika, Mariblo, NS Amoranto, Paang Bundok, Pagibig sa Nayon, Paltok, Paraiso, Saint Peter, San Antonio, San Isidro Galas, Sangandaan, Sto. Nino, Santol, Sauyo, Talipapa, Tandang Sora, Unang Sigaw, and Veterans Village)

Several areas in these cities serviced by Maynilad will experience water service interruption for 12-hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday.

The Maynilad advisory included Noveleta, Imus City in the province of Cavite and Las Pinas City (Almanza Uno, CAA, Manuyo Dos, Pamplona Uno to Pamplona Tres, Pulanglupa Uno, Pulanglupa Dos, Talon Uno To Talon Singko, and Zapote) for water service interruption from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, due to emergency facility repair activity.

The water company announced that water tanks were deployed to the areas affected by the water service interruption to deliver potable water.

The city governments of Las Piñas, Parañaque, and Pasay said they are prepared to deliver potable water to residents.
