As quickly as it intensified into a super typhoon that “Karding” also weakened, but not after leaving a swath of destruction in parts of Luzon – from as far south as Quezon to the Central Luzon provinces of Bulacan and Zambales.
All these in a span of about 24 hours as “Karding” is expected to leave the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Monday night.
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. immediately convened a Cabinet meeting, and went on an aerial inspection to assess the extent of the damage caused by “Karding”.
Unfortunately, five rescue workers lost their lives while inspecting a flood-prone area in San Miguel, Bulacan.
