BI to hire 150 new immigration officers to man PH entry points

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) is hiring 150 more officers for deployment to the country's major ports.

BI Commissioner Norman G. Tansingco said the manpower augmention program is part of the agency's effort to enhance further its service to the travelling public, "now that country is fast recovering from Covid-19.

Interested men and women may submit their applications via BI's portal at careers.immigration.gov.ph on or before Sept. 30.

The BI chief said applicants will undergo a series of written examinations and interviews before taken in.

"The selection process is rigorous to select the best and most qualified people to man our borders," Tansingco said.

The new recruits will most occupy items for immigration officers and few will be designed as administrative aides.
