Returning to the Philippines after four years, the award-winning band The Script puts up an amazing performance to their Filipino fans at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City last Sept. 23.

An opening performance was made by Filipino-Irish singer Andreah, singing her original songs, "Magic," "Let Me Go Easy," and "So Far Away."

As the lights went dim, The Script opened the show with a fan-favorite song "Superheroes", and "Pain The Town". Lightsticks and banners were waved by the fans as they sang along with the band.

"We've just been to the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, but this is the loudest crowd we've had," said The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue. "And the fact you brought your own lights is just incredible!"

O'Donoghue and his bandmates got off the stage to get up close with the fans and even dared a member of the audience to call their ex before singing the song "Nothing."

They also went with another fan favorite "You Can See Me Now", which O'Donoghue dedicated to his late parents.

The concert got more exciting as they sang another greatest hit "The Man Who Can't Be Moved", "Breakeven", "No Good In Goodbye" and "For the First Time" to which the fans sang the lyrics, "Oh, these times are hard. Yeah, they're making us crazy, don't give up on me, baby."

Before ending the concert, O'Donoghue dedicated a message to all the fans attending their tour.

"It's very rare when the band and the audience just become one. It's the same energy. It doesn't matter where we are in the world, it's the same energy. Every single one of these lights is there for you" O'Donoghue mentioned.

The band ended the night with "Hall of Fame", and before leaving the stage, O'Donoghue sang the lyrics of "For the First Time" in which the fans echoed the lyrics.

"Oh, these times are hard. Yeah, they're making us crazy, don't give up on me, baby." (Carissa Alcantara)
