‘No sail policy’ imposed in Cagayan, Isabela

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The Office of Civil Defense-Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) is on red alert and strictly monitoring the coastal areas of Cagayan and Isabela as super typhoon “Karding” inched closer to Luzon on Sunday, Sept. 25.

A report from the Cagayan Provincial Information Office said Michael Conag, OCD information officer, announced the "no sail policy" in all coastal areas in Cagayan and Isabela to avoid any maritime incidents due to the massive howler.

Conag added that food and non-food packs have been prepared and ready to be distributed to evacuees.

Evacuation centers in the two provinces are also all set.

No pre-emptive evacuation has been conducted as posting time.
