In a report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Region 2 Director Loreta M. Malaluan said that the preservation works along Junction Abbag-Nagtipunan-Nueva Vizcaya Road via Dupax improved network connectivity in the busiest thoroughfares across the Nagtipunan town proper.

According to Malaluan, the project cost amounting to P59.85 million involved road improvements along the three sections of the tertiary road spanning to 1.83-kilometers.

The project also involved asphalt overlay and installation of road safety markers, construction of a retaining wall, concrete paving of the shoulders, and provision of a road drainage system.

DPWH Quirino District Engineering Office (DEO) implemented the project.

“With this road improvement, motorists and residents can be assured of an improved and more accessible route leading to the commercial hub of the town. Therefore, it will boost economic activities in Quirino,” Malaluan said.
