The latest citation came from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for landing in the third spot among 10 other government agencies with the highest resolution rate on complaints received for the first six months of the year.

Previously, the BIR also received the same commendations from the Malacanang's complaint office for solving all complaints, assistance and queries brought to it.

The latest accolade from the CSC's "Contact Center ng Bayan" stated that the BIR received a total of 112 referrals on citizens concerns.

It said that as of Sept. 12, all the 34 complaints against the bureau were acted upon and resolved, together with all other issues like request for assistance and queries on taxation concerns.

"These complaints and concerns received from taxpayers play a vital role in helping the bureau further improve the delivery of services to our clients," said BIR Commissioner Lilia Catris Guillermo.
