The agreement was signed by Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, SDO Superintendent Evalou Agustin, and Rector of UST, Very Rev. Fr. Richard G. Ang, represented by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Cheryl R. Peralta.

Previously, the Pasig local government signed a similar agreement for a "Diploma in the Teaching of Reading" engagement with the Philippine Normal University (PNU).

By providing opportunities for teachers to enhance their teaching abilities, the local government is able to sustain and build on giving quality education to its students and its local schools.
