ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-9) are trying to identify the owner of a bag containing P680,000 worth of illegal drugs found inside a commercial outlet in the city’s business district.
Store personnel reportedly found the abandoned bag on Wednesday night and called the police for assistance fearing that there might be explosives inside the bag.
Authorities instead found a big sachet of shabu weighing a hundred grams.
The sachet was wrapped in plastic and reportedly concealed inside a soap box.
PDEA personnel brought the package to their office for disposition.
Lawmen are now trying to check the CCTV footage inside the outlet and other nearby establishments to identify the owner of the illegal drugs.
