MB Daily News Update: Lessons should be learned from Martial Law – CHR

From urgent climate action to a call to end racism, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. debuted in the international stage with his address at the 77th United Nations (UN) General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York City.

Lessons should be learned by the Filipino people from Martial Law, according to the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), as the nation marked the 50th year since the declaration of martial rule by former president Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. on Sept. 21, 1972.

The Department of Health (DOH) cautioned the public anew that, despite the decreasing numbers in Covid-19 indicators, the pandemic is not yet over.
