Markus Paterson reiterates he's 'friends' with ex-GF Janella Salvador

All is well.

This is what Markus Paterson shared with fans in relation to his current relationship with Janella Salvador.

The young actor reiterated this during a recent episode of Rise Artists Studio's "Boys After Dark" on YouTube.

In the vlog, Markus along with Anthony Jennings, Jae Miranda, Gello Marquez, and Aljon Mendoza discussed their "WTF moments and deepest regrets in life."

According to Markus, for him, it's making the decision to move to the Philippines.

First, because he left his old dad alone abroad. And second, it has always been his dream to become a pilot and serve in the military like his father in the United Kingdom.

"I never dreamed of being a celebrity," he pointed out.

But then things happen for him "so fast, so quick."

"And dun ko na pick-up lahat ng bisyo ko, depression ko," he said. "Why would I waste my mental health on something I don't see as beneficial to me?"

"Because right now, if I didn't have Jude, I'd be back in the UK already and be in the Air Force or be in the army. I'd be happy," he added.

But he cleared, of course: "I just want to bring it back to the fact that me and Janella are good. We're friends."

"We are co-parenting because, obviously, our priority is Jude. She’s an amazing mother and I’m trying to be an amazing father."

Markus deemed their 23-month-old baby boy as his "biggest blessing."

"Jude is for sure my biggest blessing and the fact that she's the one that gave him to me, I will never not love her. Maybe not romantically anymore but she will always be a huge part of my heart."

Note that prior, in the first part of the clip, Markus explained his controversial statement about vowing to never date anyone from showbiz again.

He said: "Going back to episode one and the recent backlash of that, I would like to keep this very short and sweet... If I could go back in time and change what I said, honestly, I would not."

Markus noted that he stands by what he said.

"Because what I said comes from my past, from my truth, and that’s my honest opinion about my future potential relationships. Yun lang yun," he related.

He also advised netizens not to complicate things.

"Huwag kayong mag-assume. Okay? Let's not jump to conclusions or anything because you kinda are," he said.

Recall that many online users claimed that Markus was referring to Janella about it.

"Thirdly, I respect Janella to the utmost of my ability, the woman that she has become, the mother that she has become. I will love her forever. She has given me the best gift of my life. Yun lang."
