DOH records 14,707 new Covid-19 cases in the past week


The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday, Sept. 19, a total of 14,707 new Covid-19 cases in the past week.

Based on the weekly case bulletin, DOH also mentioned that average daily cases are at 2,101 or 4 percent lower than cases from Sept. 5 to Sept. 11.

DOH also recorded seven Covid-19 cases tagged under severe and critical or 0.05 percent of the total cases.

Currently, there are 772 severe and critical admissions or 10.0 percent of total Covid-19 admissions.

On the other hand, 637 or 24.1 percent of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds are being utilized while 6,110 or 28.9 percent of Non-ICU beds are being used.

Meanwhile, DOH also reported 248 deaths from COvid-19 during the past week. It mentioned that 34 of these occurred between Sept. 5 to Sept. 18.

Of the 248 deaths, 36 occurred in September 2022, 14 in August 2022, two in July 2022, 22 in June 2022, 28 in May 2022, two in March 2022, six in February 2022, 16 in January 2022, one in December 2021, seven in November 2021, 72 in October 2021, 14 in September 2021, eight in August 2021, three in June 2021, two in May 2021, four in April 2021, four in March 2021, three in February 2021, one in January 2021, one in November 2020, and two in July 2020.

For Covid-19 vaccination, DOH stated that there are currently 72,897,703 fully-vaccinated individuals while 18,883,456 have received booster doses.
