SPD: 4 wanted men nabbed in manhunt operations


The Southern Police District (SPD) announced on Saturday the arrest of four wanted persons in separate manhunt operations in the southern part of Metro Manila.

Col. Kirby John Brion Kraft, SPD chief, identified the suspects as Lauro Salonga,44, of Taguig City; Marcelino Bonafe, 21, and Jansen Marayo, 27, both of Pasay City; and Gerald Acol, 32.

According to the SPD report, Salonga was arrested by Taguig Police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) operatives around 2:00 p.m. on Sta. Maria Drive in Bagumbayan, Taguig, on Friday, Sept. 16.

He was nabbed on the strength of a warrant issued on Aug. 15, 2022 by Judge Antonio Olivete of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 267 for possession of illegal drugs.

The SPD said Pasay police collared Bonafe and Marayo, tagged as Top 9 and Top 10 most wanted persons, on Buendia St. in Barangay14, Zone, also for illegal possession of drugs.

They were apprehended by virtue of arrest warrants issued by Pasay City courts.

Acol, the Top 2 most wanted person in Las Piñas, was arrested on Manggahan Bagong Pook, General Trias, Cavite, by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Pia Cristina Bersamun-Embuscado of RTC Branch 198 for murder with no bail.
